Cambridge International Diploma for Teachers and Trainers
The Cambridge International Diploma for Teachers and Trainers is a practice–based qualification for continuing professional development, relevant to all teaching and learning contexts.
The Diploma will help you to
· improve the quality and outcomes of teaching and learning
· enhance and update professional skills and understanding
· introduce curriculum developments successfully
· achieve an international benchmark of excellence.
Diploma candidates can be full or part–time teachers or trainers. They work in all sorts of institutions, including schools, colleges, training organisations and companies, and with learners of different ages and stages, from pre–school and primary through to higher, adult and work–based education. They can be new in the teaching/training role or have years of experience.
Diploma Centres can be institutions running the Diploma as an in–house programme for their own staff, or training centres providing external programmes, or education and training authorities using the Diploma in large–scale development projects.
The Diploma sets global performance standards for the design, practice, assessment, and evaluation of teaching and learning activities. The Diploma is awarded to candidates who successfully complete assignments in which they demonstrate their skills and knowledge in their own teaching and training practice. The standards are generic and relevant to all teaching and learning contexts, while the assessment enables the application of these standards in the particular, individual and local context.
